Target Airspeed Pointer
The Target Airspeed Pointer points to the target airspeed or Mach value. The pointer is magenta when the target airspeed is a managed speed and blue when the target airspeed is a selected speed.
If the target airspeed is beyond the speed tape display range, the target speed value displays as a digital value above or below the speed tape.
MANAGED APPROACH SPD - When an approach is flown in managed speed, the target speed is indicated on the PFD by a magenta triangle. Managed speed is adjusted by the FMGCs for mini groundspeed and is limited by both VAPP and VFE.
SELECTED APPROACH SPEED - When an approach is flown using selected speed, target speed is set by the pilots on the FCU and is indicated on the PFD by a blue triangle. Target speed is normally equal to VAPP as displayed on the PERF APPR page.
