Set Digital Chronometer

SET - Allows the pilot to set the internal time.

The internal clock can be set to internal time by:

  1. Manually placing the UTC selector from GPS to SET. The minutes digits flash and the seconds are blank.
  2. The DATE/SET button is rotated to increase or decrease the minutes.
  3. Pushing the DATE/SET button causes the hour digits flash.
  4. Rotating the DATE/SET button sets the hour. Subsequent pushes allow the pilot to set the year, month, and day.
  5. When complete the UTC selector should be rotated to INT.

The UTC selector must not be left in the SET position for more than 1 minute. Otherwise, maintenance action is necessary to synchronize the lower ECAM time with the flight deck clock.
